About This Design
The Bitcoin 5,000 Satoshi Satoshi Cryptoscrip (LD26-0005a) is an unissued fantasy banknote concept created by Lanklu Designs in 2026. The design combines the elaborate engraving traditions of historical paper currency with the modern concept of decentralized digital money.
The design draws heavy inspiration from the 1909 Russian Empire 5 Rubles banknote, particularly its ornate engraving, decorative scrollwork, symmetrical composition, intricate typography, and classical certificate-style appearance. The historical note’s elaborate framing and traditional monetary inscriptions served as major influences in developing the Satoshi Cryptoscrip concept.
Rather than reproducing the original Russian currency, the artwork reinterprets its historical aesthetic through cryptocurrency imagery. Traditional imperial-era design elements are replaced or adapted with Bitcoin symbols, electronic circuitry, simulated institutional emblems, and fictional monetary inscriptions.
The obverse presents the fictional Satoshi Cryptoscrip denomination through decorative engraving-style artwork, simulated signatures, and statements referencing the transferability of value. The reverse continues the historical aesthetic with an ornate Bitcoin microchip illustration and a statement reflecting the decentralized nature of cryptocurrency.
The denomination of 5,000 Satoshi represents 0.00005 Bitcoin, with one Satoshi equal to one hundred-millionth of a Bitcoin.
