Projects and Portfolio

This portfolio showcases a selection of my past and ongoing banknote design projects. Each piece starts as a study of real currency from around the world, examining how different countries use engraving, geometry, color, and symbolism to convey trust, value, and identity. From there, I reinterpret those elements to fit new ideas, modern themes, or entirely fictional concepts.

Inspired by History & Traditional Currency Craftsmanship

“Money is not the root of all evil. The lack of money is the root of all evil.”

Many of my projects involve reimagining existing currencies for alternative uses, such as cryptocurrency, commemorative issues, or conceptual city-state notes. Bitcoin, in particular, has been a recurring focus. I enjoy exploring how a decentralized digital asset might be represented through traditional security printing aesthetics, blending classic banknote language with modern and experimental visuals.

I do not come from a formal design background. Everything shown here is self-taught, built through years of studying historical banknotes, experimenting with tools, and refining techniques through trial and error. This site is less about finished perfection and more about the process, curiosity, and craftsmanship behind each design.

Getting started is straightforward, whether you have a clear vision or are beginning with a rough idea. The process guides you through design direction, layout structure, materials, and printing options, no prior experience needed. From initial concept to detailed security-style elements and final production, each step is focused on creating a banknote design that feels realistic, intentional, and well executed.

Ready to begin? Submit a Request Quote form with details about the banknote you have in mind. You’ll receive samples or proofs to review before finalizing the design. The process is simple, clear, and built around thoughtful collaboration.

Each project is approached with the same respect for detail and structure found in traditional currency design.
