About This Design
The Bitcoin 10,000 Satoshi Cold Storage Cryptonote (LD26-0006) is a fantasy banknote design family created by Lanklu Designs in 2026. Developed as part of Series 5A, the design combines historical banknote engraving with contemporary cryptocurrency imagery, emphasizing security, technological progress, and the preservation of digital value.
The artwork draws heavy inspiration from the 1920 Yugoslavian 10 Dinara banknote, issued in 1922 by the National Bank of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes. The historical note’s elaborate blue ornamental borders, central landscape, and classical allegorical figure served as major influences in developing the Cold Storage Cryptonote design.
The original banknote features the celebrated “Progress” vignette, depicting a man pushing a large wheel, engraved by Robert Savage. This imagery has been reinterpreted with a Bitcoin-centered mechanical wheel, electronic circuitry, and a futuristic eagle. The historical landscape composition is similarly adapted into a mountainous scene featuring a crystalline monument illuminated by digital circuitry.
The design combines traditional guilloché patterns, ornamental borders, simulated institutional emblems, and historical typography with modern blockchain imagery. The denomination of 10,000 Satoshi represents 0.0001 Bitcoin.
Two digital variations were developed. Variant A (LD26-0006a) features layered 10,000 denominations on the reverse, while Variant B (LD26-0006b) introduces a revised 10K denomination emblem. Both retain the same general composition and historical inspiration.
Historical Inspiration:
Yugoslavia, 10 Dinara, 1920 (issued 1922).
Production History: Designed in 2026, both variants remain digital pre-production concepts. Neither version has been physically printed or released. Physical production is planned but has not yet been completed. The registry documents both variations as part of the design’s development history.
