About This Design
The Bitcoin 5 Satoshi Cryptonote (LD26-0008a) is an unreleased fantasy banknote concept created by Lanklu Designs in 2026. The design draws inspiration from the Falkland Islands £5 banknote, reinterpreting its general composition and selected monetary inscriptions through a modern cryptocurrency theme.
Historical Inspiration: The Falkland Islands five-pound note provided the foundation for the overall layout and textual arrangement. The concept retains the visual structure of a traditional banknote while introducing a substantially different color palette, portrait, decorative features, and cryptocurrency-related imagery. The original design’s institutional language influenced the fictional inscriptions “BY ORDER OF CRYPTOCURRENCY” and “CRYPTONOTE SATOSHI.”
Design Development: This concept represents a reinterpretation of the Falkland Islands £5 note rather than a direct reproduction. The original color scheme, decorative elements, and imagery were modified or replaced to establish a distinct cryptocurrency identity. Both obverse and reverse artwork were completed digitally.
Production History: LD26-0008a remained an unissued digital concept. No physical banknotes were printed, and no production edition was established. The artwork is preserved in the Lanklu Designs Banknote Registry as part of the development history of the Cryptonote Satoshi series. Any future redesigned or printed version may be documented under a separate catalog variant.
