Fantasy collector banknote issued in the name of The HongKong International Banknote Company Limited, dated 1995. This unusual note features an enormous fantasy denomination of 500,000,000 Hong Kong Dollars. The design features prominent lion imagery on both sides, ornate security-style patterns, Chinese and English inscriptions, a sailing ship, and architectural imagery. Under ultraviolet light, numerous elements of the design fluoresce in vivid red and green, including portions of the denomination, lettering, lions, ship, and other security-style features.
This is a fantasy/novelty collector note and is not legal tender. Similar examples are described as approximately 150 × 70 mm.
