Thailand 60 Baht Banknote | Large Square Format (6.26″ x 6.26″)
Issued by the Bank of Thailand in 1987, this unique 60 Baht banknote commemorates the 60th birthday of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX). Unlike standard circulating notes, this special commemorative issue features an uncommon square format and was released as legal tender to honor one of Thailand’s most celebrated monarchs.
The obverse depicts King Rama IX seated in ceremonial attire, while the reverse portrays the royal family during a public visit to Wat Chaiyo Worawihan, accompanied by the King’s first Royal Command. This distinctive commemorative note remains one of the most recognizable modern issues from Thailand.
Condition: Uncirculated (UNC). No folds, tears, or creases. Stored flat in a protective currency sleeve.
