Small-Batch Production & Custom Projects
Lanklu Designs & Banknotes specializes in custom collector banknotes, fantasy currencies, commemorative notes, and small-batch production runs. Unlike large commercial security printers that often require thousands of notes per order and significant setup costs, my focus is on providing affordable custom solutions for collectors, hobbyists, businesses, organizations, and special projects.
Because each project is produced in smaller quantities, clients benefit from greater flexibility, personalized service, and lower minimum order requirements. Depending on the project, available options may include premium cotton paper, embedded security threads, UV-reactive elements, custom serial numbering, and other decorative security-inspired features.
As a small independent studio, production capabilities differ from those of major government or commercial banknote printers. Certain advanced security features, such as true watermarks, color-shifting inks, holographic strips, real polymer substrates, and other high-security technologies, may not be available or may require outsourcing to specialty vendors. When appropriate, alternative design solutions can often be used to achieve a similar visual effect for collector and display purposes.
My goal is simple: create unique, professional-looking banknotes in quantities and price points that make sense for custom projects, limited editions, and collectors.
Production Information & Limitations
- Security-threaded paper is currently limited to a maximum production run of approximately 100 notes per order.
- UV-reactive ink stamping works best on cotton-blended paper. While UV elements may be possible on polymer or security-threaded substrates, results and placement options can be limited.
- Available materials, security features, and printing methods vary by project and may not be compatible with all paper types.
- Some advanced security features, such as true watermarks, color-shifting inks, holographic devices, and real polymer note production, generally require specialized commercial security printers and may not be available for small-batch projects.
- As a small independent operation, in-house production capabilities are intentionally focused on small collector-grade products rather than government or commercial currency production.
- Certain projects may require collaboration with outside print production partners, which can increase turnaround times.
- Standard production time is typically about one month, though actual timelines vary based on workload, project complexity, and material availability.
- Expedited production may be available for select projects for an additional fee.

All designs are original, fictional artworks created for display, collection, or creative use. The work includes original content created by the artist as well as properly licensed royalty-free assets obtained through paid stock or vector memberships. Standard graphic design tools are used to create and edit all designs. In limited cases, AI-assisted tools may be used as part of the editing or enhancement process.
No Counterfeiting Clause
Requests to replicate or very closely imitate existing national or international currency will be declined. Reproductions/replicas are allowed under certain circumstances and shall follow all applicable laws.
Likeness Consent Clause
If a real person’s likeness is used, the client confirms they have consent from that individual.
Final Artistic Control
The designer retains final artistic discretion to ensure originality, legality, and quality.
