This special Cancelled UV Error Edition comes from the 2026 production run of the Lanklu Designs $250 Semiquincentennial fantasy banknote.

During production, a portion of the print run was produced with the intended UV-reactive printing missing or substantially incomplete. The affected notes are otherwise fully printed and retain the complete visible design. Rather than discard the notes or sell them as the completed Standard Edition, Lanklu Designs has permanently identified them as cancelled production-error notes and made them available separately as collectibles.

Cancelled Production Error

Each note has been intentionally cancelled by Lanklu Designs to distinguish it from the completed Standard Edition. Cancelled notes feature:

• CANCELLED marking applied to the note
• Physical punch cancellation
• Missing or substantially incomplete intended UV-reactive printing
• Complete visible obverse and reverse artwork
• Standard Edition dimensions of approximately 6.14 × 2.61 inches (156 × 66 mm)

The cancellation is intentional and forms part of this particular edition. These notes should not be confused with damaged examples of the regular Standard Edition.

About the UV Printing Error

The Standard Edition was designed to include additional artwork visible under ultraviolet light. During production, the UV printing process was incomplete on a portion of the run, resulting in notes where the intended UV feature is absent or significantly less visible. The manufacturer subsequently corrected the production issue. These affected examples represent the earlier, incomplete portion of that production run.

Because of this production difference, the notes are being offered separately and at a reduced price.
